The game is a fighting game and the fighting mechanics are perfect, they are absolutely perfect. The only thing stopping the game from reaching "Outstanding" limits is the quantity of content. We all say quality over quantity and I do believe in it but DANG does this game have a lack of content. The arcade mode is the basic fight here and there, the endings in the arcade mode suck and are a total waste of potential. The online lags but does work well at times and there are collectible things like titles to unlock by playing but other than that... This game is pretty much an arcade mode for so much money and oh one more problem.... Not Enough Characters! Okay thank you for having 32 characters but its still not enough, also Capcom messed up some character choices as they didn't get favourites like Ryu, Venom, etc.
The characters in Marvel vs Capcom 3 are all unique in looks and moves. This makes the game very diverse as you would need different strategies for each of the characters. The artwork although it is too dark at times, is beautiful and really brings the characters to life.
The music in the game was also flawless, the game had OCremix.org make remixes of all the classic video game songs for the game and the soundtrack is just kickas*.
Marvel vs Capcom 3 is an amazing game but just doesn't have the content to keep you coming back. The game has so much loss potential that its actually hurtful. I wish Capcom had taken their time and added some content to this beautifully crafted game but sadly no... they messed it up. The game is now £15/$20 and for that price it is amazing but at the time of release it was full price... so reviewing the game on that merit I give Marvel vs Capcom 3 a 7.5 out of 10.
7.5/10 Beautiful game, not enough content
