Harry Potter Defeats Star Wars

For years Star Wars has been the highest grossing movie franchise of all time until a couple days ago when Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 tipped the scales over to potters side. Harry Potter as a movie franchise has now has grossed over $2.223 billion domestically compared to star wars $2.218 billion. Harry Potter has had 8 movies while Star Wars has only had 6 so we will spare Star Wars and say that it was a fair and even battle but in the end the Harry Potter franchise must be commended for keeping a strong line up of consistent films which kept entertaining a whole generation of kids and adults.
